About Marcia Studley
Expertise
I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.

I remember this show growing up. I every now and then to check the web for this show. It seems like it is lost in the graveyard of T.V.
It used to come on K.D.O.C and on Channel 9 in southern California. I'm not to sure of the exact years it was on but it was on the air throughout the 70's. You could catch re-runs through out the 80's and early 90's on K.D.O.C (chanel 56) in the afternoons.
The opening song went like this,
"your in the land of the frooze.....
Cuddle up to moffit ,
give your friends a hug
let your eyes twinkle,
fill the world with love,
slide down the rainbow
glide on a sunbeam
put on some laughter
you've arrived
in the land......
of....
frooze...."
The main character was an somewhat "chubby" girls in overalls, a raglan t-shirt, stripped socks, converse, pigtails and a baseball cap. Her character's name was Moffit. She spoke with a high pitched voice also. She had a guy side kick, but all I can remember was her. They all lived in the land of frooze, and if you watched it you were a froozel. The set was all blue screens and puppets of all Ethnicity. The puupets had yarn hair and really bad 70's clothing on. The hispanic puppet was named Manuel.

They would sometimes fly on a magic carpet(moffit and a puppet) and look down to earth and call out names.
The names were kids who would submit there names to that show. It was mostly southern california cities.
When the show went to break, these scary rabbit puppets working in a T.V. station production would take us to commercial.
At the end of the show the furry puppets would do a "laugh-In" kind of ending. There was a big sunflower wall with doors, they would pop out and tell really bad jokes.
when the end credits ran you would see a white puppet horse pulling a wagon. The puppet's would get out and hammer signs that had the credits on them.
I would love to get my hands on a photo or even a show or two. But I hope this can spark up some memories.

Good description by lilgnome. The name of the show was The Froozles and it was on local Los Angeles TV in the 70's. I used to watch it on KTTV Channel 11. It was created by Sally Baker (Hobo Kelly) who used to have a TV show on KTTV in the 60's called Hobo Junction.
