About Test Pattern Guy
Expertise
I`m a pop culture freak who loves TV, old and new... ask me about classic TV, new TV, commercials, jingles, cartoons, Saturday morning shows, you name it. If I don`t know it, I can find it out... Believe it or not, I even know some of the infomercials by heart.. "Set it and forget it!"

Experience
Lots of time reading the TV Guide, and way too many nights of insomnia...

Question
thanks for writing back.  i remember seeing it was on the TBS network back in the 1980s.  I'm pretty sure it's a 1950s movie and it's in black and white.  A stranger drives by in an old car repeatedly and she gets scared and i think he ends up taking her in the car but not by force. that's about all i remember.  the lady keep looking out her window while the guy drives by and thinks it's odd.  but they somehow know each other i think.  any help?

Question -
I'm looking for an old movie.  I just remember parts of it.  It's in black and white, probably from 1940s or 1950s.  It has a woman looking out the blinds at a person that keeps driving by in a car.  I can't remember the name of it.  Has something to do with the word "Stranger" I think. Can you help?

Answer -
Hi, Joe...

Anything else you can tell me about this film? Any info at all about the actors, maybe?

Answer
Hi, Joe...

You sure this isn't an episode of "The Twilight Zone"? What you describe is eerily similar to an episode of TZ that had an old woman afraid of Death, so she kept herself locked in her apartment. She finds a wounded policeman on her doorstep, and debates whether she should bring him into the house, because he might be the Angel of Death. A young Robert Redford played the wounded cop... the episode was called "Nothing In The Dark."

Not questioning your memory at all... it just kept eating at me that I knew the details you were describing, and I remembered the episode.... any chance?
