Question Hi,
Ive been trying to thin kof this cartoon since I was a kid, there is a chance that its only a book... Ok the particulart story line i remember involved a fire in a tall building. The characters were mostly cats and dogs and had a very distinct animation. It was still animation too. Thee cats and dogs were firemen and women as were the people of the village. They were all pictured together on a fire engine at one point... PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Answer you mentioned it could have been a book -- i beleive it sounds like a Richard Scarry Golden Book -- you should try looking it up on ebay --- they may have made a cartoon of it but it would be from the 80s not very old when hbo did a richard scarry hour --- let me know if this is a possibility -- also if its not kinda give me a rough estimate on a year that it would have been made.
