Question
Dear Jerry,
I am originally from Venezuela, but I have been living in this great country for 11 years now. The more I get to know the United States the more I fall in love with it. I love mountains, so I make up any excuses to get in the car and drive to places where I find mountains. So far I have visited Gatlinburg and its surrounding, and the High Country in NC. I want to keep on visiting more mountain places. Therefore, I wonder if you can recommend me another places in those areas where I can spend a few days admiring the magnificence landscapes that the mountains offer.
Thank you so much for any help
Alfredo Alamo

Answer
Alfredo:

I, too love our mountains.  Which is why we moved here from FL seven years ago and bought a house with the Smokies' Chilhowee Mountain our our back door.  And why we plan to live here forever.

To help you, I need to know some things.  How old you are.  How many of there are you.  Where you now live.  When do you want to visit here.  How long you want to stay.  Are you campers or do you want hotels, condos, or whatever.

Best times to come are April when the wildflowers abound, Summer when Dollywood is going full blast, October's fall color, and winter when you and your camera can enjoy the Smokies in relative solitude.

So, please narrow down the dates and other specifics and e-mail them to me at hundedrek@hotmail.com.

Best regards,

Jerry
