Subject: Where is it?

Question
Isn't there an overlook somewhere in the mountains where you can see several states at once?

Answer
Linda:

You are correct.  It is the Pinnacle Overlook at the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park where the states of KY, TN, and VA meet.  At the top of the mountain, if you're there on a clear day, you can also see into GA & NC.  Beautiful place.  Nearby is the ten-year-old Cumberland Gap Tunnel which replaced the old Cumberland Gap Trail of Daniel Boone fame, now being restored to the way it looked in the late 1700s.  NPS Visitor Center is located at Middlesboro KY and the Pinnacle parking area is four miles away on a paved road.  For more info, go to http://www.nps.gov/cuga
