Experience I have owned and bred Bedlingtons for 15 years. I currently own a blue male. I have done obedience work with my dogs and have done earthdog with my dogs. I am currently an AKC Earthdog Judge at all levels. I owner/handle my dogs in conformation. I am also a Certified Master Groomer of 20 years.

Question what can i do to help my yorkies fur grow back after a bad flea infestation. he keeps scratching and biting his fur.he has been treated for fleas and no longer has them,but is still continualy scratching. he is a stray dog we rescued about a week ago so have no history of him thanks
Answer Its the actual flea bite he is allergic to. Fleas will inject their saliva and thats what the dogs are allergic to. So even though he doesn't have fleas after a week he is still bothered by the actual bites. Bathe him in a soothing shampoo. It will subside.
