Terriers - Differences

Expert: Tammy Colbert, CMG, CAH - 3/10/2009

Question
Can you please tell me if there are a breed like Australian Staffordshire bull terriers and if there is what are the differences between the staffordshire bull terriers and the Australian staffordshire bull terrier. I've been searching on the internet for two days for this specific breed but keep heeding no reward.

Answer
Sorry I am unaware of a Australian Staffie.  Not to say that there isn't one. I try to educate myself on all breeds out there, so can't say that there isn't any out there.
For example the American bred Labs are leggy and thinner than the English bred Labs. I prefer an English bred Lab personally.  There may be a difference in appearance than the American bred dogs is all.
You might want to try asking the American Staffordshire Club members about this.

Hope you find what you are looking for.
Good Luck,

Tammy
