About Emily Ruiz
Expertise
San Antonio only. I am 22 years old and a native of San Antonio, Texas. I have worked in the tourist industry there, specifically summer jobs at Riverwalk restaurants. I often play "tour guide" to family members who visit from all over the country, so I am familiar with most tourist attractions in the area. I love to eat out, and I keep updated on the best restaurants in the different ethnic categories. I can also give advice on shopping locations, as well as information on bars and nightlife.

Question
Hi Emily,
I will be traveling to San Antonio on Friday October 9th and staying untill Monday October 12. I am going there "to be a tourist" and see all that I can see in and around San Antonio. My main reason for going to San Antonio is to see a concert that is taking place in a place called Selma Texas. I've looked on a map and it appears that Selma is about 30 miles from San Antonio. I'm wondering if there is a bus service that will take me from San Antonio to Selma.
I'd also like to know if hiring a cab to take me from San Antonio to Selma is at all possible. -I'm willing to spend $30-$40 in cab fare for a ride each way to Selma.

                Thanks Emily,
                        Dave

Answer
Hi Dave,

I'm sorry I can't be much help here.  I don't know of any bus that goes from San Antonio to Selma.  (You might want to try Greyhound - I know there's a bus that goes to Austin, and maybe it stops in Selma?)  As for a taxi, how much it will cost to get to Selma depends where in San Antonio you are staying.  If you stay in north San Antonio, as close as possible to IH 35 (which is where Selma is located off of) you may be able to get a taxi to Selma in your price range.  However, there are not many "touristy" things to do in this area.  If you stay closer to downtown, however, a taxi is going to be much more expensive - probably over $100.  Hope this helps a little.  Have a fun trip!

Emily
