Question I'm travelling the US in 6 weekes time. I was wondering if you could suggest a few places of interest I should go see and possibly some cheap accommodation (I'm a 23 year old backpacker). I start in LA and have to make my way to NY. Can you suggest any fun things to do?

Answer If you go through the panhandle, the town of Turkey, TX is like a step back in time, the original train station has been restored and made into a museum/bed & breakfast, a must see.
There is so much to see in Texas. We have a tv show that covers a lot of interesting places to see, their website is http://www.texascountryreporter.com/show.htm , maybe you can find something you would like there.
The only cheap place to stay I can think of is the Como motel in Richardson, on Hwy 75 and Belt Line. It looks bad, but the local churches help people pay to stay there, to help keep it very cheap.
