Question
why cloudy nights are usually warmer than the clear ones?

Answer
Great question.  The clouds act more or less like a blanket.  Heat enters throgh the clouds and the clouds prevent much of that heat to escape.

Please provide feedback.

Respectfylly,

Kenneth Alvin Solomon, Ph.D., P.E., Post Ph.D.
