Question
Dear Kevin

Why the stadium architecture for playing outdoor games like cricket or football do not have a closed Structure?

Retractable or sliding roof for opening or closing can also help in this regard?

Thanks
Prashant

Answer
Hi Prashant,

Lots of modern football stadiums have closed structures with retractable roofs both in UK and USA.

Cricket grounds are much larger so too expensive to enclose anyway it is the summer game and weather effects on the wicket are historically part of the game.

By the way this is a thermochemical site! Use Wikipedia.

Best wishes
Kevin
