Question QUESTION: hi i want to know what is mean by this result from ultra sound my name is maricel 41 years old this was the result the left thyroid is slightly enlarged with heterogeneous echotexture.a complex mass measuring 3.6 cm x 2.1 cm x 3.5 cm with ill-defined borders is noted within mixed echoes are noted within the mass. the right thyroid appears bulky also with heterogenous echotexture a roundechogenic mass with hypoechic rim is noted within measuring 1.3 cm x 1.2 cm (LXAP) CONSIDER------THYROID ADENOMA,BILATERAL,WITH CYSTIC DEGENERATION.LEFT THROID plss answer me thanks in advance

You basically have abnormal cell growth on your Thyroid Gland. It could be a tumor or could be a cyst is what they are thinking. They would want to do further testing of the cells to see if it is cancerous or not and proceed from there. Usually they will do a biopsy of the cells and then examine them and let you know the results within a couple of weeks or so.
Whatever you get told, I have a completely different understanding of this and I have seen wonderful results in many patients with Thyroid problems without having to resort to harmful medications or surgery. Basically it means that the cells are not cancerous, and that is obviously very good news for you! It does mean that you have a mass of cells in there that represents a cyst. They will probably want to remove it, if they haven't already, but you don't have to remove it unless it is really bothering you that much. Try never to forget that if your body was able to put the problem there then it can also take it away, so never underestimate the power of your body.
You are still having trouble if your body is making these cells in the first place.
