Question I have been having thyroid symptoms so had test done at docs. Rung for result today and receptionist said was 1.55. What does this mean and what test will i have got, thanks
Answer Suzanne,
It is probably the TSH level, which stands for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone. This is one of the Thyroid specific tests that they usually do. The range is about .3 to 3.0 and so if this was a TSH test then those results would be fine. I will tell you though that the tests that they do are very limited and many times miss a problem so don't accept the results of the test if you know inside that there is something wrong in your body. No doctor knows your body as well as you do.
I will tell you that there is an important test that you should do which looks at the root cause of all disease in the body. This is a highly specialized test and is only performed by an Upper Cervical Specific Doctor of Chiropractic. This test looks at blood flow through the capillaries which is controlled by the brainstem, and so malfunction at the brainstem level can be determined. Your brainstem is related to each and every single function in your entire body, so this must be functioning correctly if your body is going to function correctly.
Your Thyroid is under the direct control of your brainstem and if there is an obstruction to the communication between your brainstem and your thyroid, then how in the world could we expect your thyroid to function properly?
So, if we gave medicine from outside-in would that solve the problem?
If we cut out your thyroid, would that solve your problem?
Of course not, but that is what most people do who have thyroid problems and they get sicker and sicker so they have to take more drugs.
Does that sound like a smart and sensible way to handle this?
I think that it is ignorant, it only contributes to our unhealthy society, and it creates job security for the MD, because the patient will remain sick and therefore need the MD's care and all of his "wonderful" drugs.
Yours in Best Health,
