About Robert Arnone, DC Expertise I can answer any questions regarding Thyroid Trouble either Hypo or Hyper. I can also explain to you how this may have happened to you and more importantly how you can get well.
Experience I have helped many women and some men with Thyroid Conditions. Most of them were able to get completely off of the harmful medications that weren't correcting the cause of their problem anyway. If all of these people were able to get well, then why not you too? I may be able to find you a qualified Upper Cervical Specific Doctor in your area to help locate and correct the cause.

Question In 2000, at the age of 40, I had the right lobe and middle of my thyroid removed due to a cyst which was non-cancerous. Immediately after (same day), I developed high blood pressure and high colesterol. I have been very heat intollerant since about 1994 when peri-menopause seemed to start but since menopause at the age of 47 it seems to be getting worse. My body temperature is always below normal at about 97-98. I do not recall it being that low when I was younger. In January 2008 I had extensive sinus surgery for recurrent sinus infections and had no further infections for just over a year but just had one again this March. I take .1 Levothyroxine and generally feel okay but have always felt things were not right because of the sudden high cholesterol and blood pressure. I also now take Benazepril, 20mg for high blood pressure. My libido has been pretty much nonexistant for the last several years. I have been to several doctors including endocrynologists who tell me the cholestoral & high blood pressure spike immediately after my thyroid surgery is just coincidence and that my thyroid levels are all within normal limits. I really want help with the heat intollerance and libido which are rarely addressed when discussing thyroid levels. And now, I am having some serious issues with osteo-arthritis in my hands and shoulder. I am told all these issues are normal for post menopause. I am only 48 and think I should not feel this debilitated. Is there anyone I can go to or anything I can say to get them to listen to me or take my problems seriously?
Answer Dena,
You are way too young to be experiencing these problems. I will tell you that when you alter what God has given you there are always consequences. The fact that you had most of your Thyroid removed will certainly limit your results and decrease your health from this point forward. The sinus surgery may have a detrimental effect on things as well.
What you need to know that if you are ever to improve your health, you must locate and correct the cause of your trouble. It is obvious that the doctors you have been to thus far have not been able to pinpoint the cause and certainly not do anything to correct it. So they are just treating the effects and this is why you are still sick and you are not well.
What you need to do is go for special testing by an Upper Cervical Specific Doctor who can locate, measure, and eventually correct, the cause of your ill health condition. You must understand 2 things:
1) With the amount of surgery and alteration that you have had you should expect your results to be less than 100%, and in proper ration with the amount of alteration upon your body.
2) This is a subspecialty of chiropractic and therefore a specialist may be a state or two away from you and this could be your doctor.
If you would like a referral, just send me your location and I will get back with you once I can find the right doctor for you.
Yours in Best Health,
