Question Hello: Few years ago, I found like a little ball on my neck. I went to the doctor and he said was the thyroid and prescribed me Syntroid 0.100mcg. I have to take it every day in the morning and have a blood test every year to check the levels. I think is hypothyroidism, I am not sure but is the one with the low levels. On 2007, he released me,stopped offering his treatment and referred me to my general physician. Because I didn't need a surgery and he is a specialist (surgeon). After that, I didn't have anymore health insurance, so I stopped taking the medications and didn't take more care of this problem. I was wonder how bad or good my condition was, so I decided to have a checkup with another doctor. Yesterday, I got my blood test and went today to saw the doctor. He said that the blood test is normal and I don't need any medication. I asked him that this other doctor (the surgeon) told me that I will need to take that medication all the time. So, he go ahead and prescribed me the same medication and want to see me in 8 weeks. My question is, should I take the medication or stop? Thanks.
