About Robert Arnone, DC Expertise I can answer any questions regarding Thyroid Trouble either Hypo or Hyper. I can also explain to you how this may have happened to you and more importantly how you can get well.
Experience I have helped many women and some men with Thyroid Conditions. Most of them were able to get completely off of the harmful medications that weren't correcting the cause of their problem anyway. If all of these people were able to get well, then why not you too? I may be able to find you a qualified Upper Cervical Specific Doctor in your area to help locate and correct the cause.

As a teenager I was put on synthroid for an enlarged thyroid. I took this for
several years, but stopped taking it for no specific reason. I am now a 41
year old mother and during a exam right after my 1st child was born my
doctor found my thyroid was enlarged (very noticeable) He diagnosed me
with hypothyroidism and he started me out on a very high dosage of
levothroid and my tsh levels seem to be stable, although occasionally they
were high, but when retested were fine. Right now my thyroid looks swollen
and hurts when I touch it (pain is 5 on a scale of 1 to 10). Sometimes it hurts
to swallow and my neck feels a little tight. I'm also fighting a cold and a cold
sore. I also think my voice sounds different, but nobody seems to notice. I
know my doctor will want to run every test possible, because that seems to
be what he does if I ever have a problem. I really don't want to do anything
unnecessary because of the expense. Other symptoms which may or may not
be important are that I have been a little depressed (lots of stress in my life
at the moment) and my intolerance to cold (then again it's April and 40
degrees where I live!) My questions are whether my thyroid could be
enlarged due to my cold and if I should call my doctor? If so, are there tests I
should request or refuse? Thank you for any advice.
Answer Laurie,
There is nothing wrong with tests, especially if they can help to locate what is causing your health problem(s). The problem that I have with all of this is that the tests they are having you take are all concentrating on the effects of the problem and never the root cause of the problem itself.
So the best that they can do then is treat the effects with drugs, surgery, or radiation and none of these are corrective care.
There is a test that looks at the function of the brainstem which runs your thyroid, all other glands in your body, organs, and cells as well.
Laurie, all of the problems that you are mentioning to me have one commonality, they are all under direct control from your brainstem and if you have a brainstem problem that is going undetected, that may be the cause of all of your health problems and at this point no doctor has even though of checking there, nor does he even know how.
You need to go to an Upper Cervical Specific Doctor so that you can have this all-important test done and see if you too can be helped.
I can try to locate a specialist for you if you would like a referral, just include your location, otherwise you can try to locate one on your own.
Yours in Best Health,
