Why hyperprolactinemia is inhibited in early child birth

Hi Naseem,
Nice to see you!
Hyperprolactinemia needs to be inhibited in early child birth because if left untreated it can resul it still birth or abortion. Also the mother can develop complications post pregnancy like diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance, premature menopause etc. Also its seen that if not inhibited, neonates who survive tend to show higher levels of prolactin in their blood. This could result in the male babies developing infertility/ gynecomastia, secretion of milk in early few months/years after birth.

Bye. Take care. Have a good day.
