Doctor has prescribed me eltroxin 100 mg. I want to know that how can it affect my baby and does it really leads to miscarriage thankuor somethong. Plz helpw

Answer
Hello Sana,
Warm welcome to you!
Please stop worrying and dont panic. Thyroid problems always does not cause miscarriages. When you start taking eltroxin, within 10 days your Thyroid hormone levels will stabilise, and your pregnancy will be very safe as long as you continue eltroxin. But its better if the TSH level comes between 2-3. But to assess the risk its necessary that your doctor tests your anti-thyroid antibodies. So next time get that test done.

Take care. Have a good day. Bye.
