Thyroid Problems/thyroid mass

Question
Dear Dr.
I have a thyroid mass on my left, lower part of my thyroid. The mass has grown in size over the last six months.
I had a needle biopsy in November, it showed an elevated calcium level, in the mass.  I also have a very low, 17, vitamin D level.
I generally feel like "crap", achy, no energy, etc.
Can you give me your opinion?

Thank You,
Marilyn

Answer
Marilyn,
Increase calcification in the thyroid mass generally indicates nodules. But whether they are malignant or benign will have to be decided in subsequent months. So you will need to repeat scan and FNAC after 3-6  months. Send me the values of latest thyroid profile report. Are you taking vit D supplements? What medicines and supplements are you taking?

Thanking you!
