Experience My complex cysts on my right thyroid gland and the isthmus were found my accident when my doctor thought I was having a TIA. The ultrasound found a complex cysts the size of a golf ball (which turned out to be the size of a tennis ball when it was surgically remove). Question i'm told i have this. i wrote u before about the nodules and cysts i have in thyroid, both lobes. is a thyroid adenoma a concern? and if my tpo is high but my t3 and t4 is normal and tsh 4.040 uIU/mL do you think i should be on synthroid? also, my RA is elevated (83) and i'm having joint pain--can i have other autoimmune diseases associated with auto. thyroiditis? i'm told i have hashimotos.
Answer Dear Linda, Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease and it is possible to have more than one autoimmune disease at the same time.... SInce I am not a doctor, I can't say if you should or should not be on medication... If your doctor says YES, then do it.... As for adenomas, these are usually benign...
