Question
QUESTION: hi sir,
I read recently about your answer regarding rewilding project in south africa. Dont mistake me but i just want to tell you that the tigers were not released into any park as reported in this site. I dont excatly know if it is correct.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_tiger#Re-wilding_project_in_South_Africa
And one more thing i accept with you that siberian tigers are the largest. But my only question is that why is the 389kg recorded bengal tiger not given the reward it deserved to? i accept there were siberians weighing more than this bengal tiger. But why do scientists and experts keep it aside and give 384kg tiger the title of LARGEST RECORDED WILD TIGER and i repeat not the LARGEST EVER WILD TIGER?

ANSWER: sorry about my mistake on the rewilding project.. i really thought they were released into a park... i record reading it somewhere...

well... siberians are larger than bengals on average and it doesnt mean that the largest tiger ever couldnt be a bengal... it could... when we say siberians are larger, its just the average tiger..

I simply dont know about the 389kg bengal tiger, and it was probably fat and not in shape like the 384kg siberian. (even tho i think the 384kg siberian would have the musculature and body weight of a 350kg bengal, just with some added fat).

I dont know why they say the 384 siberian is the largest ever recorded... i never red about the rules and how they weight tigers... if theres any proof...

Its just a number.. the important thing is that these weights are not normal and tigers will not weight as much as 350kg or 380kg.. large males will not even reach 300... siberian or bengal..

QUESTION: hi sir,
I really want to thank you as you provided me the answer i was waiting for.  I am eager to know how strong the muscles and bones of tigers are compared to that of humans. I heard that gorillas' bones and muscles are around 4-6 times dense than humans but never heard or read about tigers'. Waiting for your answer!
Thanks,

Answer
hi,

i dont know anything about the hardiness of the bones, but i can tell you that its not much different than those of a gorilla in terms of hardiness, the difference is the thickness of them, which make them very resistant. Tigers are like 13 times stronger than strong humans, and their bones are alot stronger than ours just because they need to resist all that strength and all the impact a tiger will suffer in the wild, hunting or just pulling, moving things, fighting other tigers or whatever they will do. Theres no comparison, humans are like Glass for a tiger to break.
