Finally, what we are doing has never been done before. I am a Time Share Sales Trainer, and the fact that this subject and profile has received the worldwide media attention that it has received, we are now getting hundreds of time share companies contacting our offices asking us to train their staffs. This is a good investment, even though it is $15,000 USD for four days of training. Another word of advice is NEVER EVER buy or step foot on a SUNSET RESORT property. We were doing a tour in Cancun Mexico and you would not believe the video that we have of the management and their comments about Americans. Read my review in Conde Nast next month.

Question I own a 2br. timeshare at Westgate Vacation Villas in Kissimmee, FL. It is a beautiful place, but we just can't afford the maint/taxes or even to take a vacation right now. I have been trying to donate the timeshare, or even sell it to companies that buy timeshares, but it seems that no one wants this property. The maint/taxes are approx. $750.00 per year, it is red time, and annual, deeded and owned free and clear. Any thoughts on why no one wants this? Also, any suggestions on a reputable place to donate/sell to?

Thanks for taking the time to write to me about your issue of trying to get rid of the Westgate Timeshare in Kissimmee Florida.
Let me tell you that there are a lot of people trying to get rid of their property right now, and to simply GIVE it away is not always so simple, as the person or agency that accepts that GIFT, must pay the dues and taxes and assessments that are levied against the unit.
If I were you, I would take out an ad on CraigsList.org and on Ebay.com and see if there were any takers. If not, then we can go from there. I can also tell you that I have a large reader base at The Time Share Chronicles, and if you want to put together an ad, I will gladly assist you in seeing if we can get someone to take it off of your hands.
