Question My husband and I took a trip to Vegas and was duped into signing with Planet Hollywood. After I returned home, I was curious and started looking at the timeshare scams. I was horrified that we had fallen into the same trap.
Our contract was signed on Oct. 13, 2009. The agreement was $201 the day of sale, more coming out the 17. The final deposit is to come out on November 12th. I sent a letter with the copy of the contract on Oct 21st. It was signed for on the 22nd.
According to the booklet we received the cancelation can be made longer than 5 days if all the agreed deposits are not made. Is this right, or are we stuck?
Answer Im sorry Jill but the canceling when longer than 5 days is only for their half, that simply states that they are able to cancel if the deposits are not made. Because you feel you were scammed though, you do have other options. If you get a chance I would suggest researching my company at www.timeshareaide.com, we specialize in canceling contracts when there has been signs of possible fraud or misrepresentation.
