Experience I currently work for The Owners' Advocate, a consumer rights advocacy group representing timeshare owners who have encountered fraud or misrepresentation, or simply want to be out of a timeshare that is paid in full. Previously I worked in the timeshare industry for several years as a Quality Control Manager. As a QCM I reviewed the paperwork with clients and answered any questions at the time of sale. Question In 2006 I was in Orlando with my Son, we went to a Timeshare meeting and we both agreed to buy it at the time, we weren't 100% sure, but we went along with it thinking it might be a great vacation for us. Coming home him and I realized it was a big mistake and we knew from before we had 3 days or up to 10 I heard to cancel, but I wasn't going to wait, so we decided to call Westgate with in the 3 day time limit, the person on the phone told me we could not cancel and that was the end of it. I thought they were correct since they worked there. I later found out I could have canceled and stopped all of this mess. I e-mailed them on June 20th 2009 telling them about what happened, I got an e-mail saying they will respond in 2 business days. It is now July 2nd and still no reply. All they have done to us is lie to us since we got in the Timeshare. please help. Thanks.
