Time-Shares - Cancelling a timeshare

Expert: Andreas Rossler - 12/9/2007

Question
I have sent in a letter via certified mail to cancel the purchase/sales agreement within the time allowed as per contract.  Besides the contract number and a request to get the money back, I did not include any particular of the purchase in the letter.  I have included a copy of the agreement in the mail though.

Do you suggest that I also sent an e-mail to the sales manager??

May be I am paranoid, but I am afraid that the builder will try every possible way to deny a refund.

Thanks

Answer
Just hang on to the proof that you sent the cancellation and you'll be fine.  If they try any funny stuff, write me back and I will show you how to make their life a living hell.

The sales manager has no say in cancellation - but go ahead and write him if you like.
