Time-Shares - Quit claim deed for a timeshare

Expert: Andreas Rossler - 11/13/2007

Question
Hi Andreas, I was wondering if I could transfer a fully paid timeshare week back to the original owners without their consent? I called them and a secretary said that they do not take them back. The fees are $500 per year and we do not use it anymore.  Is there a way to get rid of this timeshare to avoid any more annual fees? I am willing to give it away!

Thanks,

Lou

Answer
Try donating it or selling it on eBay for $1.  Just do a Yahoo! or Google search on "donate timeshare".  Since it is paid off, you should have some luck in those areas.  I don't think you're going to be able to transfer it back without their consent - would be nice though.
