Question Hi, I bought my timeshare at Westgate vacation Villas through a resale company in 1993. I have tried selling my week without success, is there anyway I can get rid of my week. If I were to stop paying the maintenace fees what would the implications be?
Regards Bryan (U.K)
Answer Try using a resale broker through eBay and sell it for $1. If you stop paying maintenance fees, you cannot use it, rent it, or transfer ownership. They will try to collect, eventually they might even foreclose on the timeshare.
You could also try to contact Westgate and see if they will take it back for free.
