I am a holder of various points relating to the RCI system and have used my options to the full for 10 years. It is the only way to afford a 5 star holiday at 1 star costs - or to afford a holiday of any kind for most people. I say yes, most definitely buy POINTS to be used for the RCI system but do NOT buy at a specific resort as this become a schlep if you tire of the specific resort. The only downside of all of this is: the levies can KILL you, really!
