Question I read your response to this guy Robert, and you told him that he was entitled to get his deposit back should he change his mind about buying a vehicle after having signed the bill of sale. I went to the OMVIC site which you referred to in your response and it said: "Ontario law does not provide a “cooling off” period if you change your mind.". Now I am confused. Is there or is there not a cooling off period when purchasing a new car if you have signed the bill of sale.
Answer Hi Gordon
As a rule there is no cooling off period, but for me to have told someone they were intitled to get deposit returned there must have been a reason.
Could you please refer to me the date or where I made that statement ? or send me a copy/paste. also please include your zip or postal code, so I will know what area I am dealing with.
