Expert: Ray Paulsen - 7/1/2008

Question
Ok thank you for your help.

I found this Audi A4 quatro with 130 k (2004) for $13k..do you think that is a good deal (will be about 15k after tax?)  OR i'm better off with the 96k one which is $15k? First one is private second is a dealer...would you recommend me purchasing from either or?

Answer
Hi

I dont know how this Audi model is rated with the Insurance, cost factor will be your first step.

The Audi is a fine made machine but can get very heavy on your pocketbook should vehicle have issues " not my choice " if you want to persue then for starters phone the dealer in Oakville and ask if your allowed to take vehicle for an independent inspection, I know a shop just up the street from where vehicle is located, he may charge you 50 - 60 bucks but it's peace of mind should you want to buy.

As for price of vehicle, lets just find out first about the inspection factor then we will negotiate the price.

I got turned of right away when I entered the dealers website and noted dealer promotes and sells 3th party warranty's and the one they promote dont sit well with me.if your going to an Audi then the only provider for warranty will be from an Audi dealer everything else will be to risky with claims.
