Question Hi Ray,
I have so-so credit (620-670score) and a new job, I thought those would be my problems trying to get a new car. It turns out that this car I bought from Drivetime (one of those places that finance anyone) almost 2 years ago. After making payments of $400pm on time everytime, I still owe $10,800 on a 2005 Suzuki Forenza (Yeah, I know!?!).
I desperately need a new car, I want a suv like Toyota rav 4 or honda crv, and although I have some promise at a couple dealerships they both said my trade is too upside down and I need a lot of money down to get into a newer rav4. One guy even suggested I repo my Drivetime vehicle, but said I will have problems with an open loan unless I get someone else's name on it.
I do NOT have a co-signer etc and I don't have lots of money to put down (1k Max).
I finally found a great job that is on the other side of town, I need a reliable and safe vehicle for my little girl and I.
Is there anyway to get out of this pain in the butt Drivetime vehicle or do you know of any lenders that will work with me?
Thanks in advance.
Sandra
