Question Hello, I was wondering which state (california or illinois)costs more for buying a used 2002 lexus sc430 for tax, lisence, and registration? Also, are used cars typically more expensive in California?

Your question is twofold.
(1) to find out if a vehicle cost more in one state than another, go autotrader.com, enter a zip code for any area in CL then enter any vehicle you choose, repeat same procedure for any other state using same vehicle, that should give you a good idea after you entered a few vehicle's.
(2) As for taxes, licence, registration, go to this link on my website http://www.usedcartips.org/DMV.html and click on any state for DMV, you will find all you need to know. If anything is confusing feel free to post it in my forum.
