Question
This vehicle has 17,000 miles only. Sounds great. Is this truck going to be like a newer vehicle or a 20 year old. What should I know about the importance of age of vehicle over mileage?
Thank you

Answer
Hi Diane

It sounds to good to be true, but it does happen.

My only concern would be under what conditions this vehicle has been stored for long periods of time. Take vehicle for an independent mechanical inspection, here is a link on my website that will explain the importance of an inspection     http://www.usedcartips.org/MECHANI.html

As for the importance of age of vehicle over mileage? The question branch out to a variety of answers. On average a vehicle does around 15K yearly, so if you buy a vehicle 4 years old 60K or less will be a good average, but it all comes down to condition " example " a car with 100K can be a better value than same vehicle with only 60K.
