Tips on Buying Cars/3 year old car with 61,000

Question
I'm looking at a 06 Toyota Highlander Hybrid with 61,000 miles. My general rule about buying used is not to go over 35 - 40 when the car is 2 or 3 years old.  But, I really like this car.  What can I expect in scheduled maintenance buying one with this mileage?  Should I ask the dealer to perform all 60,000 scheduled tasks?  Any other thoughts about buying a 3 year old car with this mileage?

Answer
Hi Sally

Your general rule is on target, 61,000 miles is above average, and it becomes buyers beware getting valid value for your bucks.

I could give you a quick answer if vehicle had average miles, but I would like to get some further information in order to provide you with a more secure answer.

1, can you provide a link  to view this vehicle ?
2, your zip code
3, is there a trade involved

Having a dealer perform an inspection ?, I hope you were not thinking selling dealer ?
If you provide some answers that may be on a more personal level, be to to check the " make private box "
