Tips on Buying Cars - Canceling car wevw paid for but not colected yet

Expert: Ray Paulsen - 7/26/2009

Question
Two days ago we paid for a car from a dealership. We paid in full.We have since changed our minds. Can we cancel the car. We paid by Debit card. We live in England.

Answer
Hi Irene

I am sorry to say I don't know the fine print when it comes to purchase a vehicle in England, can only say if a vehicle is purchased in North America there is no cooling off period unless the contract, bill of sale, was not signed on sellers premises.

With that said, any adjustments that has to be made to bill of sale to make deal final is an escape.
