Question
Any advice or experience would be very appreciated...
I am an 2007 525i owner not original the car was 1 yr old with 12000 miles when I bought I am approaching 30K miles,  the factory warranty won’t expires until I hit 50,000, and I'd like to keep the car several more years. My options, as I understand it, I can only buy the extended maintenance
(2 yr at $2295), from the dealer is it worth it?

Answer
Hi Wendy

The BMW extended warranty program is very legitimate, but 2yrs at $2295. plus tax is heavy coin in my book should vehicle not encounter any major problems. Extended warranty's offered from any dealer is a cash cow, and can be negotiated.

If you decide to purchase any type warranty make sure warranty is offered from the Mfg, not a third party as these type warranty's are useless.

Personally, the cost and short term would not be of interest to me, had the program for that type of money been 3 to 4 years, I may have considered.

Sure the dealer will tell you, should this or that go wrong you got valid value, but the odds are with the service provider or they would not offer any type warranty without realizing a profit.
