Question Jeremy,
I saw your reply on a question about rebuilt title.I am in a similar situation.A friend of mine wants to sell his 2006 Infiniti G35 ,15K miles ,has a rebuilt title on it.The vehicle was hail damaged and he bought it when the car had 5k miles on it a year back.I have driven the vehicle and its has absolutely no mechanical problems. The price he is expecting is around $13k.DO you think this car is worth 13k?what according to you would be a best offer? How much % does a cars worth depreciate because of salvage title?(If we consider kbb value as a baseline)
Thanks.
Regards.
Answer George,
thanks for your question. From what I can tell your friend is asking a reasonable price forthe car. Understand this: if you are going to pay cash then it dosent matter about the salvaged title. However most banks will not finance a salvaged title vehicle so you need to take this into consideration. The car is probably worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $20,000 with a good title so $13,000 for a salvaged title vehicle is a good price.
