without credit. I can answer almost any technical question, but
please don`t ask me to compare brands. I probably have prejudices because of
my work experience.

Expert: Barry Smith Date: 6/29/2008 Subject: tire number question
Question I have an ATV. the tire sizes are:
22 x 10 x 9
22 x 12 x7
Could you please explain what each of the numbers mean...
I know the 22 is the height of the tire, but what do the other numbers mean.
Answer Ronald,
A 22 X 10 - 9 (notice how the size is officialy designated)
22 = Overall diameter in inches
10 = Section width, the maximum width of the cross section of the tire (excluding any ornamention, curb ribs, sidewall protective ribs, etc.), which occurs in the mid sidewall area.
