Question QUESTION: Following is the email I received from you telling me that you had already given me an answer but you have not. You have not given me an answer and I looked on your website and could not find one there either. If you can't answer the question that is fine but don't send me an email telling me that you have already given me an answer when you have not.
I have already answered this question for you once before.
Your Question was:
November 1984, I was taping on a cassette songs off the radio (the top 40's etc.). Usually I was able to get the name of the song and who sang it but for some reason I did not get the name of the singers on this one song. I have been trying to find it online but cannot even find any record of the song that I wrote down. I do not remember if I just guessed at the name of the song from listening to it or if this was the actual name that was given. Some times they never gave the name or singer on songs. I have that the name of the song is "How Can We Explain". It sounds like a woman as the lead singer. It starts out: Darling, darling, darling, I'll never understand. Cause sometimes just the way you look at me you turn my heart (?can't make out what she said there). Darling darling darling don't look across the room cause you just might catch me looking at you. I wouldn't know what to say or what to do. So hold on, don't turn away. There must be a hundred things we forgot to say.
Further on: How can we explain. This photograph? Step inside (these are just some words that I can catch here and there)
I don't know if you can help me from what little I have given you. The woman's voice sounds so familiar but I cannot place it.

ANSWER: Sorry about the mix-up. I researched the lyrics and sent you an answer but it must not have gone through correctly (this has happened before.)
I THINK the song mught be "Rescued (By the Arms of Love)" by Glass Tiger.
But I am not 100% certain. The lyrics samples you offered me in the question did not bring up a match on any of the sites I usually consult. And I don't enough about Glass Tiger to recognize the lyrics or the tune. Possibly if you go on to a file-sharing program like Limewire and downloaded the song you could tell immediately if it is a match. Glass Tiger was an 80s band and some of the lyric samples you gave me came up as a match. If it is NOT "Rescued by the arms of love" let me know and I will continue the search.

QUESTION: Steve, This is not a question. I just wanted to let you know that I found the real name of the song plus who sings it. The song name is "Hands Tied" by Scandal with Patty Smyth. "How can we explain" is mentioned several times in the song and I guess that is why I thought it was the name of the song. Thanks again for your help.
Answer Wow. Good work. I knew when I sent you the song title and artist it was kind of a shot in the dark and I would have been shocked if my suggestion turned out to be correct. I haven't heard of "Hands Tied." The Only Scandal song I remember was "The Warrior" (also from 1984) They probably both came from the same album.
I always like to hear from someone that figures out the name of a mystery song--not many people take the time like you did to let me know of their success stories.
