I know that many people do not understand vehicle towing when ordered by Law Enforcement or from Private Property Parking lots, which I will try to help with. BUT, I am not versed in RV TOWING ISSUES, or actual law cases or proposed cases...
Experience
I have 29+ years of towing experience dealing with everything from Light duty ( cars and pickups ) to tractor trailer rigs, motor homes and buses.. Motor clubs to police calls, lockouts to jumpstarts and tows. I have experienced alot of fun times doing my job. Some have been good experiences and some of have been heart wrenching experiences.

Subject: tow company loss my husband's truck
Question
My husband left his truck parked in Lowe's parking lot. It was towed. When he went to get it, the towing company said they weren't sure where they put it, on one of their lots. It has been over a month and they just say they lost it and do not want to give him at least the dollars that he just recenlty paid to put a new transmission it. The man tells him it was a piece of junk.
What is the law (Louisiana) say about my husband's rights to recover damages for Holden Towing losing his truck.
Answer
Louisiana is one place which has great laws and protection for vehicle owners... It also allows for lots of penalties if tow companies do not follow the laws regarding impounds, notifications, sale procedures and such...
