Question i was wondering what the laws are in reference to a handicap parking space on a public street. we have a neighbor that has a handicap space right in front of his house and he refuses to park in it. he will park right in front of the space provided for him just to inconvience everyone else on the street that needs to park. i would like to go to the city and have his space taken away because he chooses not to park in it and makes it hard for everyone else. i was wondering what i would need to do to have something done about this. i cant park in the space because i would receive a ticket and he does not park in it and inconviences everyone else. we have ask him to park in the space and he still chooses to park in the space right in front of it. is there anything we can do to make him park there or can we have the space taken away. he is not handicap, his father or father in law is and he does not even drive him around.thanks so much for any input you can give me or please let me know the steps i would need to take to have this taken care of
Answer Well from what it sounds like you need to talk to the city where it is at, but since you did not tell me where it is, then I can not help with specific information...
Now from what you say, he does not have a handicapped permit which is good except only when transporting a handicapped person. At other times he would be illegally parking in the space if there is no one who is covered by the permit...
At least that I what I am reading in this, and the person who is handicapped most likely uses the space when they visit..
Hope this helps, but I can not provide answers to questions I am missing information on.
