Question I have the same problem with my 2004 Prius. The service station quoted me a price of $750.00 for the part, not $400.00. Any idea why there is such a difference in price?
Answer I'm not sure what exactly the problem is but if you are getting messages on the multifundtion display such as the a/c is not working or the control buttons are inop or the screen randomly goes black then the MFD unit has to be replaced, I don't know who quoted you the price of $750 but you should contact the toyota dealer because they offer an exchange unit for about $400. The $750 is for a brand new unit, that's why there is a difference.
