Question What can I do to keep up on regular maintenance? I love the truck and just want to keep it running.
I got new plugs and wires. Do you know of places to grease up? Any advice you could offer to keep it runnin' I would appreciate!
Thanks,
Bill
Answer Other than regular maintenance including oil changes, air, fuel filter, spark plugs, coolant, transmission oil, belts, hoses etc., you may consider adjusting the valves if it hasn't been done in a long time, there are some grease fittings on the front suspension for the ball joints and there are some on the U-joints. The timing chains on these engines do tend to wear but if they do they will make a loud rattle noise when cold starting which will go away in a few seconds, if you hear that it's time to replace the chain and gears and the tensioner.
