Toyota Repair/Poor gas milage

Question
Hi Ted, big fan here.
I recently bought an 94 camry dx 5s-fe with 88ks on it .
My question is : How many miles per gallon of gas should i realistic  expect to get? The only thing I've done to it this far is put a new set of plugs .I'm getting about 20 mpg mostly city driving. What else can you recommend me doing to improve gas consumption?

Thankyou:

Clatson

Answer
20-22 mpg is about normal for city driving on the highway it should get around 25-28mpg. Having the throttle body cleaned and at the same time a fuel injection service may help mileage a bit, also make sure the tires are inflated to about 34psi and check and replace the air filter if necessary.
