Question
I have a 92 sc300 with a 1jzgte started missing and straight away died and picked up and died dead it will crank but there is no spark, no injector pulse and i checked fuel pressure and it is fine. The scanner i tried to use doesn't bring up any data so hard to check if all pick ups are working. Is it possible its the crank angle sensor or cam angle sensors if so how do check them?

Answer
First check for trouble codes using the diagnostic connector under the hood, with the key on and a jumper wire connected to terminals TE1+E1 the check engine light will flash and give trouble codes, it will be a two digit code, for instance a 26 would be two blinks followed by six, let me know what you find.
