This did not work for me. I have a 2011 Highlander.

On a 2004 model you leave the odometer on the actual mileage setting. With the key off hold down the trip reset knob. The readout will flash -------- a few times then the maint required light will go out.

Thanks..this also works for a 2012 with no key. Push the start button with your foot off the break, press the odometer trip meter to trip A, hold reset button and the display will read reseting oil maintenance status. Press the start button again, this will turn all displays off. Start your car, ready to go!
