Toyota Repair/96 Camry won't start

Not sure why but the site would not let me reply to your last answer. I found the connector under the hood but after multiple attempts with a paper clip & also a short piece of copper wire the check engine light does not blink, it remains constant. I tried making the connection and then turning the key on & vice versa. It remains constantly on.

Hello, do you have a voltmeter? If you do measure the voltage at the B+ terminal, should have 12 volts, measure the voltage at the plus terminal of the coil with the key on, again 12 volts , check the voltage to the EFI fuse key off. Does it have spark to the spark plugs?
