Question
It is a 4 cylinder and I am removeing the the front cv axles on both sides, the axles I bought are remanufactured complete cv axles. the left side is short with a clip on the transmission side spline , the right side axle is long and does not have a clip on either spline or a grove for a clip. I just need to know how to remove the old axles all the manuals I have only show the bolt on axles. thank you for your time. -------------------------

I am trying to replace the cv axles, this model has the plug in style. my question is how the other ones come out. left side has a retaining ring on the spline, and the right side doesn't.
Please help.

I need to know if it is a 4 or 6 cylinder, there should be a thin clip on both ends of the splined axles that go into the transmission. The outer cv joints can't be removed, which cv joints are you trying to remove, please clarify, please be more specific.

On the outside end of the sxles remove the cotter pin and then remove the 30mm axle nuts, remove the 17mm bolts and nut on the lower ball joint then slide the brake rotor assembly off the axle shafts, the left axle can be pried out from the transmission with  a couple of large prybars, the right side axle has a large bearing about midway, there is a large snap ring holding the bearing in, remove the snap ring and the axle should come out, sometimes the bearing get rusty and sticks so you may have to apply some rust prnrtrant to the bearing housing, hope this answers you question.
