I own a 2001 Chevy Prism and have been researching.  Seems oil consumption is a definite problem.  I think Toyota was going to recall all their 2001 Corollas (same engine as Chevy Prism) for THAT very reason.  I haven't heard a peep outta them since.  Odd, isn't it?
