Question
I use to be an avid T&F athlete running for over ten years.  I stopped running right after high school back in 99 and haven't ran competitively since then.  I am now 27 have since been wanting to get back out there on the track and train again not for any hard core competitiveness but just for recreation and fun for a sport that I have loved since a kid.  I have started doing some basic training but I think I'm pushing myself to hard to soon.  Do you have any suggestions on how to gradually get myself back into shop without hurting or injuring myself?

Answer
Hello Stan, just listen to your body. If you are overly fatigued or sore, you may want to rest again. When training you will become tired and sore, but if the soreness and fatigue last for days, then this is a sign. Just pay attention to your body and you will be fine. In the beginning it is normal to feel tires and sore but your body should adjust after a month or so. I hope this helps!
